LetLedger vs Landlord Vision

Workflow-focused comparison: transaction triage, compliance visibility, and reporting speed.

LetLedgervsLandlord Vision

Both products cover UK landlord bookkeeping, and any honest comparison starts by admitting the feature lists overlap heavily. What differs is where the daily attention goes. Below is how LetLedger approaches each area, and the question worth putting to any alternative you are evaluating — including this one.

Side by side

We do not publish feature claims about other vendors' products. These are the questions to ask them directly.
 LetLedgerWhat to ask
Daily transaction workflowAn exception queue: only transactions that need a decision are surfaced.Ask: how many transactions do I have to look at on an ordinary day?
Compliance visibilityCertificate dates and finance live in the same shell, not separate modules.Ask: how many places do I check to know if something is overdue?
Accountant accessGranted per client, scoped and revocable, separate from referral attribution.Ask: what exactly can my accountant see, and can I take it back?
Month endReports generated from records already reconciled through the month.Ask: what is left to do on the first of the month?
Pricing basisBy portfolio size and bank connections, published in full.Ask: what does this cost at the size I will be in two years?

01

Feature lists are the wrong comparison

Both products will tick most boxes on a spreadsheet of features. The difference shows up in how many actions a routine week takes, and that is not something a feature list captures. Trial both with your own data if you can.

02

Exception-first, not browse-first

LetLedger's default view is what needs a decision, not everything that happened. The distinction matters most at portfolio scale, where the volume of transactions requiring no thought at all is the bulk of them.

03

Switching cost is real

Whichever way you go, moving means importing history, re-establishing bank connections and re-teaching categorisation rules. Weigh that against the annual saving before switching for a single feature.

Frequently asked questions

Can I import from Landlord Vision?

Transactions can be imported from a CSV export. Anything held only in the other product's own structures — rules, document links — has to be re-established.

Why don't you publish a feature-by-feature table?

Because we would be describing someone else's product from the outside, and it would go out of date the week they ship something. We would rather tell you what to ask them.

Which is better for a small portfolio?

Honestly, at one or two properties the difference is marginal and either will do the job. The gap opens up as the number of properties and bank accounts grows.
